According to the musical score published in Athens by the M. Konstantinidou publishing house, the song comes from the vaudeville "I trata" and is attributed (music and lyrics) to Loudovikos Spinellis.
The paly, with a text by Ioannis Laios and music by Loudovikos Spinellis, is recorded under the title "I trata tou kapetan Konstanti" and premiered on September 3, 1894 at the Tsocha Theater by the Menandros troupe, with Evangelos Pantopoulos in the leading role (Sideris, 1933: 47 and ed. Nea Efimeris, September 3, 1894, no. 246, p. 6).
The recording was made between May 11 and June 8, 1929 by the sound engineer Ernest Gower.
